Advocate letters policy

The Advocate welcomes letters on topics of general interest. For purposes of verification, the writers name, home address and telephone number must be included. The address and phone number will not be published, but the writer's name will not be withheld from publication. When work-place policies allow, it is helpful to include a work telephone number as well. Letters are limited to 150 words for thank-you letters, 200 words for election-related letters and 350 words for all others. All letters are subject to editing. Individuals are limited to publication of one letter a month.
