Warehouse theft
On Friday Jan. 29 at 12 p.m. officers responded to a warehouse in the 1600 block of Cottonwood in reference to a burglary. Made contact with the manager of the building who reported that an unknown suspect entered the warehouse and stole cooper wire out of the warehouse along with an air conditioning unit. No known suspects at this time. Case is under investigation.
Burglary of habitation
On Friday Jan. 29 at 5:45 p.m. complainant met with officers at the Bay City Police Department in reference to burglary of habitation. Complainant reported the residence on 2000 block of Candlewood was broken into the residence, stealing gold jewelry. There are no known suspects and case is under investigation.
Business theft
On Tuesday Feb. 2 at 7 a.m. officers responded to a business on the block of 6200 7 th street in reference to a burglary. Officer spoke to complainant who reported an unknown suspect stole cooper wire from the back three work vehicles. Suspects entered through whole in the fence. Approximate value of cooper wire is $1,100. There are no known suspects and case is under investigation.
Criminal Mischief
Approximately 16 mailboxes were damaged throughout the Bay City area over the weekend. Unknown subjects damaged several mailboxes in different neighborhoods of the area. There are no known suspects and case is under investigation.
There was also 2-reported tire slashing of vehicles in the Bay City area over the weekend. There are no known suspects and case is under investigation.
Suspicious circumstances
On Tuesday Feb. 2 at 3:30 a.m. officers were dispatched to a business in the 3800 block of 7th street in reference to suspicious circumstances. Officers later determined that the restaurant had been broken into; officers checked building and found no one inside. Officers made contact with manager who checked and reported nothing was taken. There was damage done to a window and a file cabinet. There are no known suspects and case is under investigation.
