Focus
Lately, one of my prayers has been “God, help me focus on what is most important.” One of the tricks of the enemy is to get good people to focus on troubles instead of solutions.
The things that you make the center of your interest will coordinate the events of your life. If you focus on problems, they will organize your life. However, if you will focus on God, He will organize your life.
I have been miserable when I let pain, money, frustration, offense, fear or other problems organize my life. But when I focus on God and build a relationship with Him, He will coordinate those details. And by the way, He does an awesome job.
It’s not just problems either. Even a good thing can mess it up for you – if you make it a primary focus. Think about times when you made recreation, work, shopping, or even your kids the center of your energies. Most times you end up losing the very fulfillment you were looking for.
Matthew 6:33 says this: If we make God’s kingdom our main focus, He will take care of the other things we are concerned with. You can expend all your time, effort and life trying to make things work, or you can accept the invitation to live life with the One that not only makes things work, but makes things work better than we can imagine. So what organizes your life?
