Dear editor

I don’t understand why certain people in town are now in the process of trying to remove our new Mayor from office. The only reason they want him out is because he is honest. This Mayor has uncovered more wasteful and illegal spending within the BCCDC and his goal is to find out where all our tax dollars are going. The fact is changes still need to be made in local government. It is time our tax dollars were spent to benefit us all and not just a certain few. Now we have secret meetings going on to remove the mayor held by cowards that don’t want the Mayor and the people of Bay City to see what some have been apart of. I think most people in town will be surprised at the amount of waste some these people are trying to keep hidden, and in some cases they may be trying to avoid criminal charges also. These are the same people that stood by and allowed our past Mayor to waste millions just on roads, and had no problems with the fact that he and other city employees were misusing city credit cards. People need to remember when we replaced our old Mayor we voted overwhelming for change and now certain people want to roll back that change, back to cover ups, misinformation, wasteful spending, and misappropriations of taxpayer moneys. If there’s no tread on the tires you have no traction. The only way to improve that traction is to replace those tires with new ones. We must move forward to make Bay City better and pull out of the rut we have been stuck in for years and we need new people in city government to do it.
