Del Papa Distributing endows scholarship at UHV

Del Papa Distributing Co. Community Foundation recently endowed $10,000 for business scholarships to the University of Houston-Victoria as part of the company’s 100th anniversary celebration. “We are extremely excited for the opportunity to give back to the communities who have helped in our success during these past 100 years,” said Larry Del Papa, president and CEO of Galveston-based Del Papa Distributing. “We are looking forward to implementing this endowment at UHV and making a difference in the lives of many students.” The endowment will fund a scholarship for business students who demonstrate strong community involvement. “I want to thank Del Papa Distributing for investing in the future of this university and the people it serves,” UHV President Tim Hudson said. “A big key to our continuing success is the strong support of visionary community leaders, and we are grateful for the generosity of this outstanding and long-standing corporate citizen.”
