Do you see it?) From the article: "Some editors assist in writing headlines for stories, while others known as copy editors review stories for factual and grammatical accuracy." Are you not the "copy editor"? If not, is there one who should be checking everything? Are the mistakes just in the online versions, or print too? (I don't receive/buy the print copies.)"

I am the editor of the Matagorda Advocate newspaper, the weekly newspaper in Bay City.

Was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley and graduated from Saint Edwards University in Austin with a bachelors in Rhetoric and Writing. Also attended the University of Texas-Pan American where I studied journalism.

Before coming to work here, I was a reporter for Valley Newspapers in McAllen, where I did reporting, editing and photography. I was also the copy editor for the Pan American, the university newspaper at UTPA.

I am a recipient of the Inland Press Association Minority Program. For the next three years I will be attending conferences and workshops and be active on Inland committees and be a potential contributor to Inland workshops.
