Cody, I agree with your letter - however, 90% of the able bodies you see walking the streets do not want a job. People who have to hold their pants up with one hand, wearing house slippers will never get a job.

Ewok, we're still cleaning up after him (all the money we "saved" on the by-pass) and his "engineer".

The spelling and grammar is pretty bad.

The Councilwoman stated facts - no date has been set for the training, and the audit has not been started. Misguided? Individual conjecure?
Don't see it. BCCDC needs to get with the program, you've delayed long enough.

    Spell much?

BTW - the picture is of marijuana, not cocaine.

The CDC should have city financial oversight, just like all other departments. The mayor should have held firm on this.

    Something to hide?

The CDC needs to concentrate on improving our city for the people who live here now, not wining and dining at "conventions". When our town is in good shape - streets, parks, soccer fields, entertainment, etc - businesses will want to come here, people will shop here, workers and executives will live here instead of Brazoria County.

@cityinsider - lack of leadership? Really? I for one do not want my tax dollars wasted and/or unaccounted for. If city employees/contractors are misusing credit cards or construction funds, it needs to be taken care of now. This has come up before (old mayor), and was possibly swept under the rug. Now that it has come up again, an independent audit needs to be done, this time by a truly unbiased auditor.

"Concern parents"? Two times? Do you mean "concerned"?

Thank you for writing this, you're exactly right. And Ms. Conner's "get your money together, I think it's called capitalism" comment was very rude.
